The package will include three pounds of honeybees and a mated Italian hybrid queen. These bees are bred for gentleness and honey production. Current pick up date is set for May 8, 2019. PICK UP DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE due to weather conditions. You will be notified of an exact pick up date at our shop when we have our final confirmation. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your package. WE STILL HAVE JUST A FEW PACKAGES LEFT FOR THE MAY 8TH DATE, ORDER NOW, THEY'RE GOING FAST
5 Frame Nucleus Colonies NUC's
SOLD OUT Check back for availability of 5 frame NUC's for the first week or two in June
NUC's are five deep frames. they will be in a corrugated plastic NUC box. NUC's will have a proven laying Queen and five frames consisting of Brood in all stages, pollen and honey stores for the bees. Early NUC's with California Queens will be available in May 2019
Indiana Queens $45.00 plus tax
Early season queens will come from either California or Georgia. Once weather conditions allow we will start grafting from our own queen yard. The queens will be bread from Indiana survivor stock. They show hygienic traits, gentleness, overwinter well, and good honey production. We will have a limited number available for the 2019 season.
B Funnel $15.00
The B-funnel channels the bees directly into the hive reducing the amount of bees in the air. It's made of corrugated plastic with Velcro straps that hold it directly against the hive to allow the bees to find their new home with less stress on them. Once the bees have found their new home and all have left the packaged box this funnel can be removed.
POLICIES FOR LIVE BEES
We do not ship live bees. They will need to be picked up at our shop. You will be notified by phone and e-mail prior to their arrival. The pick up dates will be confirmed on our web site closer to the arrival dates. Plan on bringing an air-conditioned vehicle in hot weather we are not responsible for over heated bees, your install methods, existing queens in your hive, failure of bees to release queen, failure of bee keeper to install in a timely manner or any other beekeeping practices. However, we will honor all queens damaged or deceased upon arrival, but you must contact us immediately. Any delay and the Queen becomes your responsibility.
